OUR STORY
Priebe Pumpkin Patch is owned by Kevin and LaDawn Priebe. LaDawn's grandfather, John Howden, grew pumpkins for 30 years on his farm in Massachusetts. He developed and patented two pumpkin seeds that became very popular out East: the Howden and the Howden Biggie. John sent LaDawn and Kevin seeds in 1997 and they planted a few. That year, they invited their daughter's preschool class for a hayride around their property. Unaware of what they were creating, the idea of a pumpkin patch expanded from there. The next year, they grew a few more pumpkins and a few more preschool classes came to visit. Within a few years Priebe Pumpkin Patch was officially established. Each October, families from Montgomery County and surrounding areas continue their annual traditions of visiting the pumpkin patch.
